Away in a Manger!
BY ANN BABINGTON, DIRECTOR OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
“Away in a manger no crib for his bed, The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head.”
Each year the children at St. Peter’s have the memorable opportunity to help recreate the story of the Nativity. Our Christmas Pageant is full of joy and surprises surrounding the manger, and will be held during the Service of Holy Eucharist on Sunday, December 24th at 4:00 pm. All of us at St. Peter’s would love to have your child involved in this year’s Christmas Pageant! Children age 3 to those in 5th Grade will have costumed parts in the Pageant, and students in Grades 6 and 7 will be the Readers, and our Confirmation students will shepherd the children throughout the performance. Another opportunity for your child to participate in the Pageant would be as a Chorister. Children in Grades 3 and above who are interested in joining Choristers please contact David Sinden, Organist and Director of Music, at email@example.com.
This is a one Rehearsal Pageant on Saturday, December 16, from 9:30 to 10:45 am. In order to take part in the Pageant your child must be available for this rehearsal with an adult in attendance. Please let me know by December 14th if your child will be able to join us at this marvelous St. Peter’s Church holiday tradition. Sign up by sending me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or give me a call at church, 314.993.2306, ext 108. Please contact me if you have any questions or if I can help in any way. I will look forward to being in touch with your family.
