A Picture Perfect Children’s Pageant

As the children get older each year they have an opportunity to take on a new role in the annual Christmas Pageant on Christmas Eve.  At age three a child might be a black or white sheep, by age six they would be a Cherubim or a shepherd.  The possibilities are endless as at age seven or eight they are the Seraphim who hold the Christmas Stars, a King who brings a treasure box, the Angel of the Lord who speaks to the shepherds, or Joseph and Mary who ponder all these things in their hearts.  This year we had 80 children, age three to high school in the Pageant enthusiastically telling the story of the birth of Jesus to over four hundred people.  No matter what part they play we know that St. Peter’s is blessed with talented and faith-filled children.
