Our Rector and Associate Rector consider caring for parishioners coping with illness, loss, and other spiritual challenges to be one of their most important responsibilities. Holy Communion may also be brought to you by the clergy. If you would like a member of the clergy to visit you at home or in the hospital, please contact the Church Office.
Prayer is at the heart of the Church. To add a name to the prayer list, please contact the Church Office. If you would like to add a name of another parishioner, we ask that you obtain the person’s permission before submitting his or her name. Those on the Prayer List are prayed for by name in worship on four consecutive Sundays, and then listed in the Sunday bulletin for ongoing prayers. You may also place a name of someone who has died on the Prayer List.
Friday Morning Prayer Group
The Prayer Group meets in the Elliot Room every Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. for an informal hour of prayer and fellowship. Come every week, or whenever you are able. All are welcome.
Altar Flower Deliveries
Parishioners arrange the Sunday altar flowers into smaller bouquets to deliver to homebound parishioners or those grieving a loss or celebrating a special milestone. Please contact the Church Office for more information.
Seasonal Flower Deliveries
During the Christmas and Easter seasons, parishioners deliver poinsettias and hyacinths to “mostly at home” and recently bereaved parishioners to brighten their day. Contact the Church Office if your are interested.
Sunday Bulletin Mailings
The Sunday Bulletin from the 10:30 Worship Service is mailed to homebound parishioners upon request. If you would like to receive a bulletin in the mail, please contact the Church Office.
Memorial Service Receptions
A ministry of care and comfort sponsored by the Woman’s Guild of St. Peter’s Church is the hosting of receptions in the Undercroft following a funeral or memorial service. The receptions provide a lovely setting in which family members may greet guests following a service. Receptions are offered as the Guild’s gift to the parish; freewill offerings by families are invited to help offset the costs of future receptions.
