Music at St. Peter’s
Music has long been central to the joys of worshiping at St. Peter’s Church. Our choir provides an important role in the liturgy on Sundays and special services, by leading our congregation in song, choral anthems, psalms, and responses.
The music ministry of St. Peter’s provides an opportunity for youth and adults to become involved in the life of our parish through music. Our program includes the Adult Choir, Youth Choristers, a Handbell choir, and the St. Peter’s Singers.
Director of Music Ministry Description
St. Peter’s Seeks a full-time Director of Music upon the retirement of the current Director, S. William Aitken. Please click here to view the Director of Music Ministry Description.
Besides providing music for the 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship service, the choir offers special musical performances with instrumentalists during Advent and Lent and at monthly concerts and services of Choral Evensong. Members of the choir also sing at weddings and funerals on occasion.
The choir rehearses on Thursdays from 7:15-9:15 p.m. and on Sundays before the 10:30 a.m. service. We welcome parishioners with advanced choral skills to sing alongside our highly trained section leaders. If you are interested in more information, please contact music director Bill Aitken at email@example.com.
