Choral Evensong and Concerts

Choral Evensong or another choral service is held on the second Sunday of the month at 5:30 p.m. from October through June. 

Choral Evensong is a traditional Anglican service of Evening Prayer, sung.

All services, concerts, and recitals at St. Peter’s are free and open to the public.

Meditation on the Passion of Christ

Palm Sunday, April 9 at 5:30 p.m.

A service of music and readings reflecting on the Passion of Christ. Music includes an Appalachian folk carol and African American spirituals alongside ancient plainsong chants for antiphons and the Passion Gospels.

This service is based on a liturgy devised at St. John’s College, Cambridge, England.

Sunday, May 21 at 5:30 p.m.

The St. Peter’s Choir sings music by Barber, Bernstein, Copland, and Lou Harrison. This concert is free and all are welcome.


Choral Evensong for Trinity Sunday

Sunday, June 11 at 5:30 p.m.

Music by Grayston Ives (b. 1948) and Howard Hanson (1896–1981).
