Did you mark your 2015 calendar for January 4th at 5:00 p.m.?

Ring in the New Year with a Concert of Sacred Music by Viennese composers here at St. Peter’s as part of our concert series. This one hour concert will feature delightful epistle sonatas (for chamber organ and strings) by W. A. Mozart; an acappella motet for double choir by Jacob Handl; a vivacious little sonata for the Chamber Organ with strings by Franz Joseph Haydn; the Kyrie and Gloria from Franz Schubert’s beautiful Mass in G; a big, majestic Prelude and Fugue for the main organ by Franz Schmidt; an exquisite acappella motet – Locus iste – by Anton Bruckner; and to wrap things up – a Te Deum for strings, continuo organ and choir by W. A. Mozart!

SO – Celebrate the New Year with us at St. Peter’s on SUNDAY – JANUARY 4th at 5:00 PM! As always, a reception follows the concert.
