Nominations for Vestry

Jeanie Davis

Jeanie Davis is a former vocal music teacher and the daughter of longtime St. Peter’s parishioner Ginger Cornelius. Jeanie and her husband Clark joined St. Peter’s in 2015, after raising their three children at Grace Episcopal Church in Kirkwood. Over the years at Grace, Jeanie led choir camp groups, taught Sunday School, led Children’s Chapel services, sang in the choir, was a Eucharistic Minister and Lector, served on the Vestry, and was Senior Warden.  At St. Peter’s, Jeanie has volunteered for the Angels in the Garden Committee and served on the Lift Us to the Joy Divine Planning Committee. She enjoyed facilitating listening sessions, getting to know our vibrant congregation better. Jeanie has held a variety of volunteer positions, most recently as President of the Members Board at the Missouri Botanical Garden.

Cheryl Meyer

Cheryl is married to Randy, and they have an adult son—Jonathan. Their dog is a 7-yr old golden retriever named Teddy. Cheryl has a B.S. degree in Education and a Master’s from University of Missouri—Columbia, in Curriculum and Instruction. She has been a teacher for most of her life and has taught almost all levels, even college. While growing up, Cheryl and her family attended St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. She transferred to St. Peter’s Church 25 years ago and has been a member ever since! Cheryl has served on several committees and has chaired the St. Peter’s Day Picnic, the Woman’s Guild Plant Sale, and the Estate Sale. She has been part of the St. Peter’s Woman’s Guild for years, currently serving as its President. Cheryl and Randy have been ushers for several years for the 8:00 Sunday service. Cheryl would consider it an honor to serve as a Member of the Vestry.

Charlie Peters

Charlie has been attending St. Peter’s for the past decade. He and his wife Kim raised five children in Ladue after moving to St. Louis in the early 90’s. Charlie retired from Emerson Electric in 2015 where he worked for 40 years. A native of West Virginia, he grew up in the Methodist Church before attending Sewanee Military Academy and being introduced to the Episcopal Church. He also has an engineering degree from Cornell and an MBA from Harvard. Charlie has regularly attended the Rector’s Forum since its inception and served on St. Peter’s Long-Range Planning Committee.

DeWayne Trainer

DeWayne moved to St. Louis from Atlanta in 2013, so that his husband, Mark, could pursue a new opportunity with the Edward Jones Trust Company. DeWayne and Mark joined St. Peter’s just a few months after their arrival in St. Louis and were married in Grace Chapel on July third of 2015. DeWayne has been active in the parish choir and is currently a Convention Delegate representing St. Peter’s. He serves on the Altar Guild and the Communications Committee in addition to being a Lector and Eucharistic Minister, and was recently appointed to serve on the Diocesan Commission on Ministry. In Atlanta, he worked in parish administration at the Cathedral of St. Philip for nearly seven years and attended All Saints’ Episcopal Church. Currently, he works for Edward Jones as an SEO practitioner for their intranet site used by nearly 50,000 associates throughout the US and Canada. He and Mark live in Lindenwood Park in South City with their two French Bulldogs, Beau-Beau and Claude, and Mr. Sousa, the cat. He is a member of and frequent soloist with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.

Jerry Wille

Jerry and his wife Cathie are both native St. Louisans. They have been married 49 years and have two grown children: Jay and his wife, Carrie, and their children, Hugo and Gwendolyn, live in Town and Country; and Monica lives in Brooklyn, NY. Jerry worked at McDonnell Douglas and Boeing for 39 years as a Metallurgical Engineer doing mainly research and development work until retirement in 2005. After “retiring”, Jerry and Cathie rehabbed several buildings for rental. They sold those and are now re-retired and enjoy watching their grandkids one day a week and having more time to do other things, including the Better Marriages organization. Jerry and Cathie joined St. Peter’s in 2013 after their previous church closed. When they first visited St. Peter’s, they felt welcomed and found the music to be very spiritual.  Jerry enjoys participation in many St. Peter’s activities—Searching for God in the Daily News, Rector’s Forums, Sunday breakfasts, St. Peter’s Cares, outreach activities, and Men’s Breakfast. Jerry had the pleasure of going with the youth mission trip to Fort Defiance, AZ in 2016. He has also “chaperoned” some of the Woman’s Guild activities.  St. Peter’s has become an integral part of their lives.

Nominations for Delegates

All three children are now raising their children at St. Peter’s! Penny is a graduate of Smith College with a degree in Religion and of Washington University School of Occupational Therapy.

Page Melton Ivie

Page and her family joined St. Peter’s in 2013, after Page and daughters Hopie and Nell Melton moved to St. Louis from their native Richmond, Virginia. Both girls have been involved in youth activities and acolyting, and Page’s husband, Allan Ivie, is an usher and acolyte master. Page just concluded a term on the Vestry. Outside of church, Page runs a government affairs and compliance consulting company, volunteers development support for the Brain Injury Association of Missouri, and sits on the Girls Inc. Board and the MICDS Development Committee. Page and Allan have six children together, and two dogs, one named Moses.

Nannette Rich

Nannette grew up in southeast Missouri, moved to Louisiana for her first job as a research chemist and was introduced to the Episcopal Church by her now late husband, the Rev. John Musgrave. Later, after moving to Texas, John felt called to the ministry and Nannette supported him in becoming an Episcopal Priest. As they raised two boys, Will and Michael, they moved to St. Louis in 2004 for Nannette’s job in Nuclear Medicine Marketing at Mallinckrodt. Nannette attended churches where John served including St. Peter’s and later Good Shepherd in Town & Country before returning to St. Peter’s after John’s passing. Throughout her attendances at various churches in Texas and Missouri, Nannette has sung in the choirs, and served as Lector and on various teaching and service teams.  She met and married her husband, Mike Rich, at St Peter’s.

At various times, and at different Episcopal churches, Kelly has been on the Vestry and Investment Committee, as well as serving as Junior Warden, treasurer, secretary, lay reader, and chalice bearer.  Kelly is a graduate of Harvard College and has been an investment advisor for over thirty-five years.
