St. Peter’s Day! Bring a Side and Volunteer!
BY THE REV. IAN LASCH
We still need volunteers to help out with our St. Peter’s Day picnic to make sure that all goes smoothly. You can sign up here! And don’t forget to bring a side! (We’ll be providing dessert this year, but if you feel strongly about bringing dessert instead of a side, then feel free!)
On Sunday, September 17th, in addition to our regular breakfast and Rector’s Forum between the services, we’ll have fun and fellowship immediately following the 10:30 service in the form of our St. Peter’s Day parish picnic.
We’ll have great picnic food, giant inflatables (including the all-new-this-year-bungee-run-for-older-children-and-adults), and a ton of activities for kids, including games, face painting, and the best balloon artist I’ve ever witnessed. The Gateway Ramblers will make their St. Peter’s Debut, delighting us with some bluegrass tunes.
Come join the fun and bring a side to share. (We’ll be providing dessert this year, but if you feel strongly about bringing dessert instead of a side, then feel free!). Casual picnic attire is encouraged for worship, and you can drop off your dishes in the Undercroft kitchen beforehand (just make sure your dishes are labeled if they’re non-disposable).
We hope to see you all there!
