Successful Parenting through Love and Logic
BY ANN BABINGTON, DIRECTOR OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
If you are a parent, grandparent, or caregiver you will want to sign up to attend the upcoming and amazing Christian Education for Families: Love and Logic! St. Peter’s is so pleased to offer this new five-part series on Wednesday evenings, April 6 to May 4, 6:30 to 8:30 pm, in the Undercroft. Facilitators Carolyn Parham and Kathryn Ward, both teachers in the Ladue Schools for a combined 46 years, have been trained by the founders of the Love and Logic curriculum and have been teaching the program together for 9 years. Love and Logic specializes in creating healthy family relationships, and we are excited to make the program available to St. Peter’s families. Carolyn and Kathryn will help unlock the secrets of successful parenting for children of all ages, from birth to young adults, and will teach proven methods to raise responsible, respectful, and capable children. You will learn strategies that replace punishment with learning opportunities; ways to help children make wise decisions and to be motivated to learn; and easy suggestions to bring joy to daily family life. You will learn positive, loving tools for raising happy and well behaved children. Luke Jernagan will also be speaking on how to build a more Christian home life. Parents of young children and parents of teenagers will all benefit in countless ways from this program, and grandparents who have a close interaction with their grandchildren will want to understand these strategies as well. St. Peter’s is underwriting the cost of the series and the only cost to participants is a $10 workbook fee. Childcare will also be available. Spaces will be limited so we encourage you to sign up early. For questions and reservations please contact Ann Babington, Director of Christian Education, firstname.lastname@example.org.
