Last Call for Winter Clothing Drive!

Last Call for Winter Clothing Drive!

Thank you to everyone who has helped to clothe our brothers and sisters in Christ though the Youth Council Winter Clothing Drive.  Your donations will help keep many people warm throughout the cold winter months. All used clothing will be sold through the Kingdom House Bodega, a thrift store; and the new clothing items will be featured in their annual Christmas Shop.

It’s not too late to contribute! This Sunday you can drop off new and used clothing items in the Undercroft. After the 10:30 service, the St. Peter’s Youth Council will make deliveries to Kingdom House. Please bring warm clothing: zipped jackets, hooded sweatshirts, heavy coats, hats, scarves, gloves, cozy socks, pajamas, long pants, shirts, and underwear (a highly needed item!) for adults and children.

As Jesus sits on the Mount of Olives, he teaches his disciples about the kingdom of heaven.

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, 33 and he will put the sheep at his right hand and the goats at the left. 34 Then the king will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; 35 for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.’”

Thank you for clothing Christ this winter by giving to our brothers and sisters who shop at Kingdom House.
